| January 11, 2023 Seattle Dances of Universal Peace Planning Meeting 1/11/2023 Present: John (convener), Helen (scribe), Jennifer (vfp), Brian, Hassan, Martha, Ka Opening Dance: We All Come from the Goddess Check-ins Treasurer’s report: $4055.91 in bank and cash, no anticipated expenses in the near future. A gift to Jennifer’s community for hosting us in November is still pending. Upcoming Dances in Seattle: No one has volunteered to organize an in-person in-door dance, or a zoom dance. Aramaic Prayer will be offered in Salem area on April 8, approximately 3:00pm, with zoom option. More details will follow as they are decided. If a Seattle-area sponsor and location are volunteered, a “watch party” might be possible. Hassan and Elizabeth will likely lead park dances when weather permits, perhaps in late March. Fall Retreat 2023: Camp Burton has new policies. Contract must be signed and $1000 refundable security deposit by 2/24. Cancellation without fee by 8/1. We are penciled in for November 3-5. For the spaces we want, our minimum would be 35 campers, 24 eating meals. We agreed to put down deposit, but also to begin looking into earlier dates at smaller, less expensive locations. Martha and John will begin searching.
